Golf Course & Clubhouse

Manor of Groves Golf Club boasts all year round golf with its immaculate greens and fairways and no temporary tees. Whether you are a member or a guest you are in for a treat on our fantastic but challenging course. The par 71, 6,197 yard layout has been subject to a large investment to improve the already fine design. Divided into two differing nine hole loops, the front nine weaves in and around the traditional manor gardens whilst the back nine has wide sweeping fairways stretching out over picturesque parkland. A great thinker’s course, where your club choice may differ from hole to hole, a great variety of short, long and dog legs holes await. The golf club also boasts the longest hole in Hertfordshire, our 18th par 5 is 605 yards of the white tees!

A warm welcome awaits you into our clubhouse "The Viewing Gallery" with stunning views over the 1st Tee and 18th Green and houses a spacious lounge, bar and well stocked Pro shop offering the latest range of golfing equipment and attire. Buggies, trolleys and high specification clubs are also available for hire.

Our PGA Professional and his team are always on hand to offer advice on all aspects of your game. Expert tuition can be arranged on a group or one to one basis.

Dress Code

During the summer months if shorts are worn they must be tailored. No jeans, trainers, tracksuits or collarless/football/sports shirts to be worn on the course. The dress code for the clubhouse is open and all we ask is our members and their guests to dress appropriately for the occasion. We regret that visitors to The Manor of Groves will not be allowed on the Course unless they are suitably attired. Golf shoes must have Soft Spikes (winter exceptions apply). Golfers must not share golf bags. Pagers or mobile phones must be on silent mode. Occasionally during the winter we implement a trolley ban. Please ensure that all players are aware of the etiquette of the game, e.g. pace of play – repairing pitch marks – replacing divots – dress code etc. At all times we would ask you to respect this policy. Management reserve the right to refuse admission to the Clubhouse or Course.

Course Closure

The course may be closed at short notice due to bad weather conditions and at the discretion of the General Manager and Head Greenkeeper. The Manor of Groves will advise members as soon as possible on the rare occasion that this may occur. In the event of bad weather, pre booked buggies/trolleys may be cancelled.
